The Intensive Child & Family Worker exists to keep families together. It supports the family’s role as caregiver by supporting the family members emotionally throughout the treatment process, assisting the family in addressing crisis, and helping the family understand the treatment needs of the identified child or children.
Location: Based out of Thunder Bay. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to Armstrong, Whitesand and Gull Bay.

A HBSW is preferred. A minimum two-year Social Work Diploma or diploma in a related field is required, with experience working with Anishinabek children and families. Minimum of two (2) years direct service and counselling with children, adolescents and families; a combination of training and successful experience in working within the Anishinabek culture; significant experience in family intervention and/or group facilitation. Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
A satisfactory Criminal Records Search; a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate is recommended; work flexible hours, according to the needs of families; completing and maintaining other relevant Ministry initiatives; travel within the city and district of Thunder Bay - provide coverage and services to the other Dilico affiliated First Nations when necessary work in the homes and locations familiar to client families; posses a valid Class "G" Licence, and have access to a personal vehicle; carry satisfactory liability insurance; produce a satisfactory driver's record. Must be willing to travel to Greenstone area.
