Position Overview:

The Prevention/Aftercare Worker (Mobile) will facilitate educational and recreational group sessions, in addition to referral, liaison and capacity building services with community support resources, for clients who have previously completed treatment either at Dilico’s Adult Residential Treatment Centre or elsewhere. The Kinship Services Support Worker has the responsibility and duty to ensure the needs of the child(ren) are met in kinship living arrangements, when the child is not considered to be in care of the Agency. The Kinship Service Support Worker is responsible to maintain a consistent focus on the needs of the child and advocates with the Intake Unit and/or Family Service Unit to achieve permanency for children living with members of the child’s extended family or community.

The Family Wellness Worker will provide guidance and support to families in order to promote safety, success and well-being for families. The Family Wellness Worker is responsible to work with families that require additional support and guidance in order to maintain family unity or reunification in a manner that respects and incorporates the concept of family centered, culturally appropriate, and community-based care. The Family Wellness Worker will complete kinship searches to facilitate permanency with the intended outcome to prevent admission to care and to expedite the return of the children recently placed in care. Under the direction of the Adult Transitional Housing Services Manager, the Cultural Wellness Mentor is responsible for ensuring the cultural needs of youth/adult clients are met who are on the Home for Good case management and waitlist. This includes managing the Home for Good client waitlist; opening new referrals; regular appropriate documentation on all client files; maintaining regular contact and meeting with clients; assisting with client appointments or needs; attend bi-weekly case review meetings, provide daily traditional healing, guidance, teachings, sacred circles and traditional ceremonies for youth participants within Adult Transitional Housing services. Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Support Services Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for phoning replacement casual staff to ensure adequate staffing in the agency operated staffed homes. Under the direction of the designated Child Welfare Assistant Director, the District Child Welfare Service Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of Child Welfare services; provides direction and supervision to Child Welfare staff; ensures consistency of standards within the Agency Mikinaak Service Model so that services and programs express the policies and procedures of Dilico, and are within the legal framework of the Child and Family Services Act.
