Position Overview:

The Community Mental Health and Addictions Worker will provide clinical assessments, planning, treatment and counselling to children and their families, and consultations regarding community behavioural assessments and intervention. The Family Wellness Worker will provide guidance and support to families in order to promote safety, success and well-being for families. The Family Wellness Worker is responsible to work with families that require additional support and guidance in order to maintain family unity or reunification in a manner that respects and incorporates the concept of family centered, culturally appropriate, and community-based care. The Family Wellness Worker will complete kinship searches to facilitate permanency with the intended outcome to prevent admission to care and to expedite the return of the children recently placed in care. Under the direction of the Adult Transitional Housing Services Manager, the Cultural Wellness Mentor is responsible for ensuring the cultural needs of youth/adult clients are met who are on the Home for Good case management and waitlist. This includes managing the Home for Good client waitlist; opening new referrals; regular appropriate documentation on all client files; maintaining regular contact and meeting with clients; assisting with client appointments or needs; attend bi-weekly case review meetings, provide daily traditional healing, guidance, teachings, sacred circles and traditional ceremonies for youth participants within Adult Transitional Housing services. The Cultural Wellness Mentor is responsible to work collaboratively with the team to ensure program delivery is consistent with the philosophy, approach, goals and learning environment established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care which will ensure the cultural, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of children/youth and their families.

The Youth Intensive Treatment Counsellor will ensure daily needs of youth in care of the program are met by actively providing daily therapeutic opportunities in the twenty-four hour home setting. Position Overview:

The service exists to keep families together. The service supports a child’s larger treatment plan as managed by a children’s mental health worker. It supports the family’s role as care giver to the child in treatment by:

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Children’s Wellness or District Child Welfare Service Manager, the Children’s Wellness Worker is responsible for providing the protection of children in care by performing duties as may be required, in accordance with provisions of the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations and Standards, Abuse Protocols, and Dilico Anishinabek Family Care policies and procedures. The Children’s Services Worker is responsible for ensuring that all the service needs of children in care of the agency are met.
