Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Clinical & Children Services, Intensive School and Family Preservation Manager is a member of Dilico's management team and is responsible for: the development and implementation of distinct services sectors, the School Based Intensive Treatment Services (SBITS), and the Family Capacity and Support Program (FPS),
in a manner consistent with Dilico’s vision, mission and core values. This includes the oversight, management, and coordination of activities related to early intervention services, family-based assessment, and case management. The manager will also ensure standards of professional conduct and quality care are maintained,
The manager will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team and is their responsibility to ensure the implementation of Dilico's integrated service model, from intake to discharge for all children, youth and families receiving services. Activities will be conducted in accordance with PHIPA, the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, the Mental Health Act, the Education Act and Dilico’s Policies and Procedures and accreditation standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Social Work or Psychology Graduate Degree is preferred. A minimum four- year Social Work Degree or related Degree is required.
- Three (3) years direct service with children, adolescent and families;
- Three (3) or more years’ experience in a managerial role preferred;
- Training and experience in evidence-based programming, as it applies to the Anishinabek family, school, community, and social service organizations;
- satisfactory Criminal Records Search;
- must possess a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain one;
- ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Director of Mental Health and Addictions in relation to service delivery requirements;
- must possess a Class “G” Driver’s Licence and must have access to a personal vehicle;
- SNAP® Supervision Training/Safeguard Training.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
