Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the incumbent will provide administrative and operational support as well as be assigned specific project responsibility related to the organizations’ vision, mission, values and strategic plan that will serve the First Nation Citizens of the AETS nine member participating communities as well as other Indigenous Peoples. The position will include but not limited to, working with staff, committees, stakeholders, participants and potential participants to:

• Support the project co-ordination and implementation of the Indigenous Labour Market Information (LMI) and Skills Inventory Survey;

• Recommend and help integrate marketing strategies to effectively promote the requirements of the project preparation and community outreach and survey distribution, to secure interested and eligible participants;

• Participate in and oversee the recruitment of program participants and incentives, in collaboration with communities to ensure targets of LMI and Skills Inventory Surveys are completed;

• Implement outreach strategies for participants to foster success in the program;

• Monitor program progress throughout the duration of the delivery, to ensure data collected improves the capacity for planning the most demanded education to training to employment programs;

• Work as a liaison between AETS and the delivery partners as well as networks to ensure delivery requirements with both in person and virtual collection events are fulfilled;

• Interpret program and funding criteria for potential sponsors and ensure compliance;

• Maintain all financial records and responsible for reporting to funders;

• Develop collaboration and models of delivery to meet the needs of the community;

• Analyse and report on data and make recommend changes to delivery, systems, and procedures;

• Prepare and finalize reports and/or contracts with the First Nations, plan and manage recruitment and review of community contract and/or direct Employment Advisor contracts;

• Succession planning activities of human resources and co-ordinating services and programs for Employment Advisors as well as related policy assistance;

• Monitor Employment Advisors and all approved projects according to guidelines established by the funding providers and in accordance to AETS Business Plan;

• Provide assistance and services for projects, communities and participants as required;

• Perform other duties as directed..

Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Business or Education or Social Science related disciplines preferred. Experience in service delivery of labour market programs; or a combination of education & training with minimum of 3 years’ experience in labour market program delivery with Indigenous client’s and working with a client database. Excellent interpersonal skills; a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook; previous

experience in working with First Nation clients; Valid Class G Driver’s Licence and willingness for some travel preferred. A criminal record check is mandatory upon hire.
