Under thhe direction of the Manager of Information Technonolgy, the Helpdesk technician is responsible for maintaining the information Technoology Department's ticketing system and providing technicial support to Board staff and students.  The technician will participate in, maintain and support specific technologies and/or projects as assigned by the Supervisor.  Other tasks include the provsioning of devices, as well as inventory managment fucntions during the contract period.

The preferred candidate will possess a Certificate or College Diploma in the field of IT/IM and/or two years equivilant work experience in the field of Inofrmation Technology.  The preferred candidate must also have proven working experince in technical support, the ability to work as a team within a centralized service environment, excelllent verbal communication, problem solving and analytic skills.  Experience configuring and supporting devices using MDM is considered a strong asset.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening document satisfactory to the Board.
