The ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT is responsible for supporting the Labor Market Development Department in the overall administration of the current Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Program (ISETP) and other departmental initiatives. Under the direction of the Labour Market Development Director, this individual will work within an interdisciplinary team, while working within policy parameters and administrative guidelines.

? Provide assistance with accounts payable and the monitoring and tracking of program budgets;

? Plan and arrange staff travel, in person and virtual meetings;

? Attend and take minutes and meeting notes at relevant meetings and gatherings;

? Assist with the refinement of filing systems and processes for internal and external communication;

? Responsible for general office procedures with regards to the documentation of emails, handling of communications, and filing;

? Support contractual activities to ensure legal and financial requirements are adhered to;

? Assist in the production of agreement reports;

? Travel within the region when required; and

? Other duties as assigned by the Director of Labour Market Development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Minimum two years’ experience in the administrative field;

? Diploma in Business Administration or related training;

? Excellent computer skills and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office;

? Ability to understand financial general ledger and trial balance documents; and

? Ability to understand and speak Anishinaabemowin or willingness to learn is an asset.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

? Excellent interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;

? Professional attitudes and behavior;

? Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team; and

? Excellent MS Office including MS Excel computer skills.

LOCATION: Nipissing First Nation Head Office

Full-time term position until January 5, 2024, with the possibility of extension and benefits

(after successfully completing 3 months of employment)

Salary Range: $46,367 to $52,550
