Under the direction of the TAY Housing Support Manager, the Youth Coordinator acts as clinical lead and senior practitioner of the TAY Housing Support program in a 24-hour care setting that is consistent with the vision, mission, and core values established by Dilico Anishinabek Family care. The Youth Coordinator will be primarily responsible for youth engagement, screening, assessment, treatment and aftercare planning, and overall service coordination with respect to direct services for youth residing in the Housing Supportive unit. Secondary responsibilities will be to provide clinical consultation and guidance to the TAY housing support program team and to ensure continued integration with other internal programs and community partners.

A HBSW is required or related degree will be considered. Three or more years related experience utilizing a variety of treatment modalities in the field of Mental Health & Addictions Services particularly relating to Anishinabek clients; Experience in supervisory or leadership role preferred; Experience in a residential setting would be an asset; Experience relating to working in a variety of Mental Health & Addictions programs in the youth/family service system; Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered. Significant demonstrated experience in Adult Mental health and Addiction interventions and group facilitation is required.

Satisfactory Criminal Records Search; must possess a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain one; ability to work flexible hours as determined by the TAY Housing Support Manager or designate in relation to service requirements; must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle; must complete a medical and receive the required immunizations as recommended by the local medical officer of health.
