Coordinates and provides advice and leadership for the development of visitor experience opportunities at natural and cultural heritage places managed by Parks Canada.
Qualifications:
(essential qualifications) EDUCATION: Graduation from a recognized university with specialization in marketing, tourism, recreation, leisure or museum studies, or other discipline relevant to the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. Degree equivalency
EXPERIENCE: Experience in the analysis, identification, development, coordination and evaluation of visitor experience opportunities; Experience in identifying target market and audience needs and matching them to visitor experience opportunities; Experience in collaborating with staff, partners and stakeholders in the context of visitor experience product development;  Experience in providing advice and guidance to senior managers and staff; • Experience coordinating multifunctional teams and projects; Experience in preparing project plans. Experience in handling cash and operating point of sales.  Experience creating graphic content like signs, newsletters, brochures, familiarization with proper use of the brand and agency design standards is very important.

Conditions of employment:  Reliability Status security clearance  Possession of a valid Driver's license OR personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a valid Driver's license within the limits of the Treasury Board Policy. Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required;  Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform when required;  Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation;  Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight, off site and/or weekends.
